Goodbye Office and Hello 300! Congratulations Aristoles!

Have you ever tried to google for custom DVD covers? If so, you’d maybe expect some of the major cover sites to pop up – maybe say R1DB, Replace The Case, RixGrafix, etc. Oddly enough, none of these sites pop up on the first page of google results! In fact, none of these sites pop up within the first 5 pages – I didn’t bother to dig any further.
My guess would be that this is due to sites still being “secretive” due to the mishap that happened a few years ago with DVDcoverart.com. But is it time to begin opening these sites up more – especially sites like Replace The Case, a site that has had little community interaction in the last few months.
Here’s a list of the sites that pop up in the first page of results:
1. www.generetic.org/
2. www.spleenworld.com
3. www.prillaman.net/dvd-covers-starwars.html
4. forums.cdcovers.cc/archive/index.php?f-47.html
5. forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=400842
6. covers.box.sk
7. www.dvdcoverz.com/
8. www.9covers.com
None of these cover sites are very big, except for Generetic. Could this be the reason why Generetic enjoys such a huge user base? I think it may be time for some of the major players in the cover world to step up and get Google to work in their favor. Then again, based on what happened to DVDCA, maybe not.
